Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba – 3 days onsite required

Job Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support Project/Program Managers with various project management tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and experience with project coordination methodologies. While remote work is permitted for candidates residing over 100 km from Winnipeg, resources may be required to attend in-person meetings or work from an office when needed, with no additional expenses provided.
Responsibilities:

Schedule, attend, and actively participate in planning and collaboration meetings.

Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

Assist Project/Program Managers in preparing necessary presentation materials.

Support Project/Program Managers in ensuring project deadlines are met.

Provide administrative support as required.

Undertake various project-related tasks as needed.

Maintain program management artifacts in alignment with established frameworks and methodologies.

Ensure adherence to project frameworks and maintain documentation appropriately.

Provide support for program governance activities.

Coordinate and contribute to reporting and briefing materials for various levels of management.

Assist Project/Program Managers in identifying and managing issues and risks.

Support Project/Program Managers in planning and tracking project activities using collaboration management tools.

Create and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation.

Identify tools necessary for project execution and assist in their setup.

Review, evaluate, and suggest changes to proposed methods in accordance with Manitoba's policies and procedures.
Mandatory Requirements:

A clean criminal record check status is required at the candidate's expense before starting work and must be maintained throughout the contract.

An enhanced background check may be required on certain projects. Failure to meet these requirements must be rectified at the candidate's own cost and time.

Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Project Coordinator.

Experience providing program coordination support within a large and diverse program management framework.

Experience tracking project/program budgets and schedules.

Experience coordinating and contributing to reporting and briefing materials.

Strong political acumen.

Experience with collaboration management tools such as Microsoft Teams.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

Knowledge of project management best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Project Coordinator within the public sector.

Certification from a recognized project management accreditation body (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).
