At SRA, we take our work seriously—but we take living fully just as seriously.

In our fast-paced, remote-first environment, “Out of Office” doesn’t mean disconnected. It means refueling. Reimagining. Getting inspired by the world beyond the screen—whether that’s the Himalayan peaks or a quiet beach in Goa.

This edition of our Out of Office series celebrates not just where we go when we log off—but what it brings back to the work we do.

When the COO Takes to the Mountains

Earlier this year, our COO Roy took a brief break from Zoom calls and revenue dashboards to head into the Himalayas—one of those rare, still places where Wi-Fi disappears and perspective grows louder.

His time in the mountains wasn’t just a personal recharge. It was a reflection of something bigger:

“When we step away, we return sharper,” Roy said. “Great leadership needs time to think, breathe, and observe. That’s what the mountains gave me—and what I bring back to SRA.”

There’s something about standing before something vast—snow peaks, silence, sky—that reminds you how to lead with clarity.

Goa, Sunshine, and the Joy of Being Together (In Real Life)

While Roy was taking in Himalayan sunrises, another kind of magic was happening down south.

Some of our India marketing and sourcing team members met up in Goa for an informal offsite. There was sun. There was seafood. There were long conversations that weren’t about project timelines—and a few that were (we can’t help ourselves).

In a remote-first company, face-to-face moments are rare—and priceless. Seeing teammates not as little faces in boxes, but as real humans, laughing over chai, makes all the difference.

It’s not just team bonding. It’s team remembering: oh right, we actually like each other.

Travel Isn’t a Perk. It’s Part of the Process.

Remote work isn’t just about flexibility. At SRA, it’s about integration—between life and work, travel and creativity, focus and freedom.

We’ve always believed that inspired people create inspiring work. When someone travels, we don’t ask, “Are you available?”—we ask, “What did you experience?”

We’ve had team members:

  • Sketch campaign ideas while watching sunsets
  • Solve strategy blocks during a solo café crawl
  • Launch social campaigns from trains, cabins, airports—and yes, even beaches

It turns out that a well-placed “OOO” auto-reply can be part of the productivity formula.

Culture Built Beyond Cubicles

What ties this all together—Roy in the Himalayas, our team in Goa, and everyone else scattered between laptops and landscapes—is that SRA was built for this.

We don’t just allow people to be whole humans—we expect it.

We’ve designed for it.

We encourage it.

Because in the end, whether we’re in a boardroom or a beach shack, what matters is the mindset we bring.

Out of Office doesn’t mean out of commitment.

It means stepping out to return stronger, sharper, more human.

Here’s to more getaways, more good work, and a company culture that knows you can do both.
