PROJECT MANAGER — INSURANCE / FINANCIAL SERVICES
Toronto — Don Mills & Eglinton
Hybrid — two days onsite weekly
Full-time permanent
$110,000–$125,000 base, with limited flexibility for an exceptional fit
12.5% target bonus, pension, benefits and four weeks’ vacation
LEAD COMPLEX CHANGE FROM PLAN TO PRODUCTION
We are recruiting an experienced, hands-on Project Manager for a well-established Canadian insurance and financial services organization.
This is a lean PMO where Project Managers genuinely own delivery. You will lead multiple technology and business transformation projects from planning through execution, testing, production, operational handoff and closeout.
Projects may include application delivery, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, IAM, modernization, data migration, decommissioning and vendor-led implementations across Waterfall, Agile and hybrid environments.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Lead multiple concurrent projects across scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality and delivery outcomes.

Maintain project plans, forecasts, financials, RAID logs, decisions and executive reporting.

Coordinate business, technology, architecture, QA, security, operations, vendors and offshore teams.

Hold vendors and delivery partners accountable for milestones, dependencies, deliverables and issue resolution.

Guide SIT, UAT, defect management, go/no-go readiness, release, production validation and operational handoff.

Translate complex delivery information into clear recommendations for senior leaders and steering committees.
WHAT YOU BRING

Eight or more years of hands-on enterprise project management experience.

Experience in insurance, banking, wealth management or another regulated industry.

PMP certification.

Proven ownership of technology projects from initiation through production.

Strong project financial management, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, variances and change control.

Significant vendor and offshore delivery experience.

Direct experience with SIT, UAT, release readiness and production implementation.

Hands-on Azure DevOps experience, along with tools such as MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, Planview or similar platforms.

The ability to work onsite at Don Mills and Eglinton two days per week and collaborate regularly with offshore teams between approximately 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. Eastern.
