About the Client
Our client is a global multi-strategy investment firm managing over $25B in assets across equities, macro, commodities, credit, and systematic strategies.
Technology is tightly integrated with the investment platform. The Cross Asset P&L Technology team owns and evolves the firm's centralized P&L subledger — supporting daily profit & loss calculation, reconciliation, attribution, and reporting across asset classes.
These systems sit at the intersection of front-office trading, middle-office operations, and financial reporting.
Role Overview
This is a senior full-stack engineering role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the firm's Cross-Asset P&L platform.
The engineer will:

Build multithreaded backend services

Contribute to event-driven architectures

Develop scalable APIs
-
Support modern front-end components
-
Partner directly with trading and operations teams
This is a production-facing, business-critical role in a high-accountability environment.
The team operates primarily onsite (4 days/week) to support close collaboration with trading and middle-office stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Design and enhance multithreaded P&L calculation services

Build and maintain event-driven systems (Kafka)

Develop backend services using C# / .NET Core

Contribute to UI components using React / TypeScript
-
Optimize SQL-based data stores (SQL Server, Postgres, Snowflake)

Deploy and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS preferred)

Support second-line production issues while driving platform improvements

Collaborate with global engineering teams
Required Qualifications

7+ years enterprise software engineering experience

Strong C# / .NET Core expertise

Deep multithreaded programming experience

Experience building distributed, service-oriented systems

Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka preferred)

Strong SQL and database systems knowledge

Cloud experience (AWS or Azure)

Strong communication skills and stakeholder maturity

P&L or financial subledger systems

Cross-asset financial reporting platforms

Post-trade lifecycle familiarity

Experience across equities, rates, FX, or commodities

Distributed caching (Redis)
